Canadian singer Justin Bieber has tested positive for COVID-19 on the eve of his world tour.
In a statement on his official Twitter page, the 26-year-old said he postponed the show which was to hold at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas last Sunday after receiving the report of the COVID-19 test carried out a day before.
It reads: “Due to positive COVID results within the Justice Tour family, we will, unfortunately, have to postpone Sunday’s show in Las Vegas,” reads a statement on the venue’s website.
He said the fans is always his number one priority. The tour launch in San Diego was a massive success, and Justin is excited to bring this spectacular show to his Las Vegas fans as soon as possible.”
He kicked off the tour just a week after popular rapper Kodak Black was shot at his party in California.
