Monarchs move against bandits, herders’ attacks in Ondo

According to the traditional rulers, the recent surge of attacks on communities by suspected Fulani herders as well as the activities of highway robbers in the State will soon be a thing of the past.    



The monarchs who converged on Oka-Akoko, headquarters of Akoko South West Local Government Area stated that the security situation in the area had been stifling developments in the four local governments within the axis.  While maintaining that traditional institutions will not allow criminals to take over Akoko land, the Olubaka of Oka-Akoko, Oba Yusuf Adeleye, said that communal and divine efforts will be applied to solve the menace.  Over the weekend, some women within the axis had stripped half-naked over the criminal activities in Akoko land. akoko-streets-protest-over-insecurity-in-ondo.

/  Oba Adeleye disclosed that the security situation had affected business activities in Akoko land as investors were not interested to invest in the communities due to the security situations..  On his part, the monarch of Akungba-Akoko, Oba Sunday Isaac Adeyeye, disclosed that efforts are in top gear on the part of royal fathers to bring the perpetrators to book.  He noted that the wanton killings portend an ominous sign of danger, maintaining that traditional institutions in the zone will not foot-drag in ensuring that peace returns to the communities.  Meanwhile, the regent of Akunnu Akoko, Princess Tolani Orogun, who led a protest in her domain over the development said the situation calls for urgent measures.

  Skit maker and comedian, Josh Alfred, popularly known as Josh2funny, who was recently cured of an ailment he claimed to have been battling for 11 years, has said money was not the reason the illness festered for so long.
